THE PROBLEM
After years of working with clients, Jonda had an approach to residential organizing that was simple and effective. Her clients loved it! But it relied on her being physically present with each client or having to conduct in-person workshops. She wanted to translate her approach into a format that would be easy for her clients to follow on their own but with enough customization to be personalized to their unique situations.

THE SOLUTION
A do-it-yourself (DIY) workbook was the answer. Having tackled self-help and DIY formats in my own books, I coached her through this project. We identified textual material from her workshops that would be useful. “No sense in re-creating the wheel” Jonda noted. I recommended the talent of a graphic designer to depict the process, add interest, and break-up the text. Then we went to work.

THE PROCESS
We met regularly and I elicited from Jonda the step-by-step process she used in her hands-on organizing. A kind of template emerged that provided consistency throughout the book that included a self-examination of motivation, helpful exercises, mind-mapping diagrams, samples and other tools to enable a personalized do-it-yourself approach.

THE RESULTS
From Vision to Victory: A Workbook For Finding a Simple Path to an Organized Home began as a stand-alone product. Soon it became the basis for a teleclass series and several on-demand videos. The book helped to launch Jonda from an author/organizer to an organizer/educator. An international podcast, print media and radio coverage followed especially with the publication of two organizing books for children. The expansion of Jonda’s platform resulted in the founding of a new business called Release, Repurpose, Reorganize.
